Today I figured I'd drill the lightening holes, debur and prime.
I measured out the hole spacing. It's a little tricky....nothing major, but you need to be awake. You can barely see it, but I've center punch the hole locations.
Here I am battling with the fly cutter. The technique I found that works for this is to cut just a little deeper than halfway through on one side. Then flip it over and finish the cut from the other side. This leaves a very nice hole, and also minimizes the risk of the fly cutter "catching". That happened to me once. I do NOT want it to happen again. Remember to cut SLOWLY.
Finished product.
I also shot some primer on everything.
